Snazzy mini-documentary on the Question featuring Dennis O’Neil, Greg Rucka, and Jeffrey Combs!
…and Rick Burchett. I don’t understand why this vid had so few notes. I know there’s more than a handful of Question fans around here. So guys, watch it, reblog, spread the love. How many times have you seen Dennis O’Neil or Greg Rucka speak about a character they’ve written, redefined, and understand inside out?
Had no idea this was already out….
JACKIE IT’S DATE NIGHT LET’S ORDER SOME TAKEOUT
file under: things the new 52 makes incredibly depressing
Part of what the Batman run has been is recapitulating the years of Batman and the different ways that Batman’s been dealt with. So I wanted to deal with that modern Batman that has started to get bleak again. The stuff that Scott [Snyder] is doing, that John Layman is doing, everyone is starting to get bleak again. You cannot bring Batman into the light, is basically what I’ve learned. So we wanted to acknowledge that in this last issue – it’s quite nightmarish in a way.
Grant Morrison talking about Batman Inc #13 (out July 31st)
Remember everyone, GRIMDARK=COOL
"You cannot bring Batman into the light"
UGH. DC Comics, please stop this. Not everything needs to be dark. You can actually have fun with the Bats. It is not a contradiction.
DID THEY FORGET BATMAN WAS IN FUCKING JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL AND IT WAS AMAZING
Nobody liked Brave and the Bold, right?
Bleeding Cool is reporting that Joshua Hale Fialkov walked off the Lantern books because of demands he kill a character.
Can you guess who?
But guys, they have another non-white Green Lantern now! Why would they go above the quota????
I feel like my warrior princesses should look like they are both warriors and princesses and in Starfire’s case; are from space.
Maybe I’m just trying to fill the Barda shaped hole in my continuity.
This a more detailed and slightly updated version of the Starfire redesign I did recently that was featured over on Project Rooftop.
Kind of a weird thing but the first thing that caught my eye and that I LOVE is her stomach: it folds and ripples like a real woman’s, instead of bending smoothly like paper like I see too often.
I love the heft and feel of her body in this picture: She feels substantial and like she can move planets and wreck stuff.
I actually thought this was Maxima. Take note Lobdell and Rocafort oh and while I’m at it (Lobdell you’re a douche for what you’ve done to her)
I love that the light in her eyes is actually bouncing off the bridge of her nose and cheekbones - which is what would really happen if her eyes actually glowed and I’ve never seen an artist depict that.
Kory is a *strong* individual. She has muscles and weight. She is tall. Drawing her as a sprite when she’s an adult doesn’t make any sense.
I always thought it would make more sense if she was built more like Barda or Knockout.
This is awesome
